โœ“ Before you pay

Always double-check and verify before making a payment. Verify if it is the actual owner. If dealing through an agent, check their credentials. If possible, schedule a viewing. Wait for receiving a contract before finalising a payment.

โš  Be cautious

If the agent or owner declines to supply documentation, or is vague about contract terms and pricing, proceed with caution. If it's too good to be true, it usually is.

๐Ÿ Independent marketplace

We are an independent marketplace. All transactions happen directly between users and the agent or owner. We are not involved in any transaction and are therefore not able to guarantee payments. Read full disclaimer โ†’

About renting long-term in Philippines

The Philippines is 7,641 islands across three main groups (Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao). English is the second official language โ€” easiest of Southeast Asia for first-time long-stay travellers. Siargao is the country's surf capital, Palawan (El Nido, Coron) headlines the limestone karst tours, Bohol pairs world-class diving with the famous Chocolate Hills and Tarsier sanctuaries. Cebu is the regional flight hub. Newer destinations include Siquijor (mystical small island), Camiguin (volcanic gem), and Dumaguete (university city + diving at Apo Island).

๐Ÿ›‚ Visa basics

Most nationalities get 30 days visa-free on arrival, extendable monthly up to 36 months at a Bureau of Immigration office. Easiest country in the region for very long stays.

๐Ÿ’ก Local tip

Wet season runs roughly June-November. Typhoons can disrupt domestic flights โ€” leave a buffer day before international departures.

โญ Best for
  • Surf (Siargao, La Union)
  • Beaches & island-hopping (Palawan, Boracay)
  • Diving (Bohol, Dumaguete, Camiguin)
  • Off-the-beaten-track (Siquijor, Batanes)
