Siargao is the country's surf capital, Palawan (El Nido, Coron) headlines the limestone karst tours, Bohol pairs world-class diving with the famous Chocolate Hills and Tarsier sanctuaries. Cebu is the regional flight hub. Newer destinations include Siquijor (mystical small island), Camiguin (volcanic gem), and Dumaguete (university city + diving at Apo Island).
Most nationalities get 30 days visa-free on arrival, extendable monthly up to 36 months at a Bureau of Immigration office. Easiest country in the region for very long stays.
Wet season runs roughly June-November. Typhoons can disrupt domestic flights โ leave a buffer day before international departures.
